VIVAnews - The chance for PT Bank Mandiri Tbk and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk to hold rights issue is getting bigger after the the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) plans to finalize the substance of SOEs privatization.
The proposal of SOEs privatization should have been submitted to the government at least by January 31, 2010.
"Pak Yasin (Deputy of Restructuring and Privatization) is finalizing the substance of privatization," said SOEs Minister Mustafa Abubakar today, March 12.
According to Mustafa, the finalization includes the rights issue held by Bank Mandiri and BNI.
Despite the time limit, Mustafa said the chance for privatization will be incorporated in the recommended government's programs.
The additional proposals will add to the number of companies which have been approved on privatization by the House of Representatives (DPR) such as PT Garuda Indonesia and PT Krakatau Steel.
