Govt to Build Gas-Based Economy

VIVAnews - Indonesian Vice President Boediono said the future potential which will support the economy lies on gas. Therefore, the Indonesian government will build gas-based economy.

"We will in the future develop gas-based economy," said Boediono today, May 18, in the annual meeting of the Indonesian Petroleum Association in Jakarta.

Boediono stated that the government will issue policies that will prop up the domestic consumption system.

"There will be monitoring in the main fields to identify the possible problems," said Boediono.

The Vice President also expected that the Indonesian oil and gas business people improve their skills in technology.
